About the Artist
Deena Lari’s journey began in New York, where she studied at Manhattan’s renowned High School of Music & Art. But her heart was always drawn eastward. In 1976, she made aliyah to Israel — a decision that would shape not only her life, but her art.
For years, Deena lived in the quiet northern town of Bet She’an, painting, teaching, and helping build the local artistic community. Her work was shown in exhibitions across Israel and in the United States — but her greatest inspiration was still to come.
Today, Deena lives and paints in Jerusalem, where every alleyway and sunlit stone tells a story. Her paintings capture the city not as a postcard, but as a living, breathing home — full of soul, texture, and memory.
Through her art, Deena invites you into the heart of Jerusalem as it is today: its quiet corners, vibrant colors, and everyday beauty. Each painting begins with a walk through the city — then shared online as it comes to life, brushstroke by brushstroke.
For those who yearn for Jerusalem, Deena’s work is more than art. It’s a window into a place you love — a way to bring its light into your home.
See Jerusalem come to life — one brushstroke at a time.
